PERRYVILLE — Five Perryville High School runners were honored during a recent meeting of the Board of Education for earning Academic All-State honors.
They are seniors Keturah Pyland and Kira Hagan, juniors Tegan Bishop and Ben Rehagen, and sophomore Ezekiel Pyland. To receive Academic All State Honors, student athletes must earn a minimum 3.6 GPA during the semester in which they compete, and they must compete in a state-level series race (District Championship or State Championship), according to Coach Shadrick Shafer. Kira Hagan and Ezekial Pyland posted perfect 4.0 GPAs for the semester.
