New community marks the latest expansion of McBride’s “Next Exit” strategy into Missouri’s oldest and most historic city.
St. Louis, MO – McBride Homes, Missouri’s largest homebuilder, is entering the Ste. Genevieve market for the first time with Progress Pointe, a 137-home development designed to bring attainable new construction to local buyers. Progress Pointe will introduce three villages of single family homes — Progress Pointe Commons, Progress Pointe Estates and Progress Pointe Manors, offering McBride’s innovative, attainable floor plans to the state’s oldest community. Progress Pointe’s grand opening is set for October 24, 2026.
The development sits within the City of Ste. Genevieve along the Mississippi River in eastern Missouri. The city is known for its small-town charm, historic downtown, local shops and dining, and access to parks and outdoor recreation.
City leaders welcomed the announcement as a sign of continued, more affordable and responsible residential growth in the area, recognizing Progress Pointe as the culmination of years of planning and perseverance spanning nearly a decade.
“Affordability was our biggest hurdle, so the city stepped up with a $10 million bond initiative to cover infrastructure for the new 137-home development and repair a majority of our existing roadways. That investment lowers costs for the developer, and those savings can be passed along to home buyers,” according to Mayor Brian Keim. “Having Missouri’s largest homebuilder invest in that vision validated years of work. This was a first-of-its-kind partnership for our city, and we’re proud of what we built together.”
Keim said the project also represents an important investment in the community’s future.
