Sept. 18, 2026 – (Ste. Genevieve, MO) – Congratulations to Josef Rottler, Ste. Genevieve High School’s Rotary Student of the Month for September. Josef is the son of Maria Rottler and Wade Rottler.
Josef’s scholastic honors include earning magna cum laude recognition as a freshman and junior and summa cum laude recognition as a sophomore, when he also ranked in the top 10 percent of his class. He has earned course awards in Introduction to Applications, Website Design, Computer Science, Multimedia – Photoshop and Chemistry.
Josef has been actively involved in numerous groups throughout his high school career, including Student Council, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Speech and Debate, Freshman Mentors and Math Team. His extracurricular accomplishments include earning first place in Introduction to Business Concepts at the FBLA District Leadership Conference as a sophomore. As a junior, he earned fifth place in Retail Management at the FBLA District Leadership Conference and ninth place in Website Coding and Development at the FBLA State Leadership Conference. He also placed third in Hand Calculators at the Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) Math Competition.
Josef is employed at River Rapids Waterpark. In his free time, he enjoys quilting, drawing and ceramics. Josef plans to pursue a degree in computer science.
