Stephanie Lynne Taylor

Stephanie Lynne Taylor, 54, of Perryville, Missouri passed away Friday, August 21, 2026 at Independence Care Center in Perryville.

She was born March 7, 1972 in Perryville, MO to James D. Taylor and Mildred “Lou” (Terry) Taylor.

After more than 30 years of an extraordinary journey, our beloved sister, Stephanie, has peacefully gone home to be with the Lord.

More than 30 years ago, Stephanie was involved in a tragic car accident that changed the course of her life. From that time forward she made her home in a nursing facility, where she was surrounded by wonderful caregivers who treated her with kindness, compassion, dignity and love. We will always be grateful for the care they gave her. Whenever asked how she was doing, the answer was “Just Peachy”. Those simple words became a special reminder of the wonderful care and love she received.

She was blessed with a loving family who never stopped loving her and holding her close in their hearts. Though her life took a path none of us could have imagined, she remained a cherished part of our family and touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Her journey on earth has finally come to an end, but we take comfort in knowing that her suffering and limitations are gone. She is whole again. She is free. And most importantly, she is in Heaven with God.
We will miss her deeply, but we will carry her memory with us always. We are thankful for the years God gave us with her and for the love that surrounded her throughout her remarkable journey. Until we meet, again, may she rest peacefully in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father.
