February 22, 1933 – August 22, 2026
Lucille M. Bader, 93 years old of Sainte Genevieve, MO, passed away on August 22, 2026.
Lucille was a woman whose life was centered around faith, family, friendship, and service to others. She cherished every minute she was able to spend with those she loved, and the memories she created with her family and friends will remain a treasured part of her legacy.
She was a member of the American Legion Aux and VFW Aux. Lucille had a special gift for quilting and lovingly made quilts for her entire family, as well as for many fund raisers throughout the community. Those quilts will be treasured by her grandchildren and great grandchildren for generations to come. Every stitch was made with love, making each quilt not simply something she created, but a lasting reminder of the love she had for her family.
Lucille also loved playing cards, especially pitch. She enjoyed many pitch tournaments with her family and spent countless happy hours playing with her friends at the Ste. Genevieve Nutrition Center. She loved to fish and cook, and her baked ham became a family favorite that her children and grandchildren will always remember.
Lucille enjoyed her many years at the Ste. Genevieve Care Center, where she found purpose and joy in helping with activities, setting up for Mass, helping with Communion, and praying the rosary. Her faith was an important part of who she was. She was a person of deep faith who followed Christ closely and quietly showed that faith through the way she cared for others.
Above all, Lucille loved her family. The time she spent with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and friends meant more to her than anything. Her family will remember her love, her faith, her laughter around a card table, the meals she prepared, and the beautiful quilts that carry a piece of her heart in every stitch.
