STANLEY BRYAN EGGEMEYER, 77, of Chester, Illinois, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026, at his residence.
He was born to the late Paul and Lucille (nee Kipp) Eggemeyer on February 13, 1949, in Chester, Illinois.
Stanley married Barbara Stirnaman on November 29, 1974, at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Chester, Illinois, and they shared 51 wonderful years together. She survives.
Stanley graduated from Chester High School and served in the United States Army as a medical corpsman during the Vietnam War.
He worked as a carpenter for various local construction companies, including 20 years as a general foreman at Diecker Construction Company. He was a member of Carpenter Local #1361 in Chester and Local #662 in Freeburg. He retired as a resident carpenter from Chester Mental Health Center.
Stanley was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Walsh, Illinois, and V.F.W Post #3553 in Chester, where he served on the honor and color guards for six decades.
He will be remembered as one of the kindest, most sincere gentlemen we have had the privilege of knowing. He was quick to lend a helping and able hand to anyone fortunate enough to be called his friend.
