CAPE GIRARDEAU – Olivia Petzoldt, a senior graphic design major from Frohna, Mo. will be among the student artists exhibiting their work at “The Intimacy of Environment: A Visual Exploration of the Figure in Space,” an exhibition of works by Southeast Missouri State University student artists, on view from now until April 1 at The Nest Gallery at Southeast’s River Campus.
A closing reception will take place on Friday, April 1 from 5-7 p.m.
This exhibition explores the affects one’s immediate environment has on the sense of comfort, self-worth and outward appearance. Using emotions, feelings and personal experiences, the artists chose environments that reflected their sense of self while also using space and spatial relationships to both inform and interact with the viewer.
