Clarence E. Schirmer, 94, of Altenburg, Missouri died Monday, August 10, 2026 at the Lutheran Home.
He was born November 24, 1931 in Cape Girardeau, MO to Rudolph T. and Alma H. (Kutscher) Schirmer.
He and Vivian C. Schirmer were married May 4, 1957 at Salem Lutheran Church, Farrar, MO.
He served in the United States Army from 1953-1955.
Clarence was poultry and pork producer. He played the tuba in the East Perry Band, which later became the Saxony Hills Community Band. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he served as elder, school board member, and sang in the church choir.
Survivors include wife of 69 years, Vivian; three daughters, Carolyn Schirmer of Springfield, MO, Lori Johnson of Jackson, MO, Lois Bader of Jackson, MO; son, Neal (Michelle) Schirmer of Altenburg, MO; daughter-in-law, Tina Schirmer of Cape Girardeau, MO; five grandchildren, MaKenzie (Ryan) LaRose of Cape Girardeau, MO, Colin (Rachel) Schirmer of O’Fallon, MO, Loralee (Alex) King of Knob Lick, MO, John (Tori) Bader of Farmington, MO, Carley Schirmer of Altenburg, MO; five great-grandchildren, MaKenna LaRose, Maddox LaRose, Sonnie Bader, Griffin Schirmer, Leon King.
He was preceded in death by parents; son, Kenny Schirmer; son-in-law, Raymond Johnson.
Visitation will be 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, August 17, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am Monday, August 17, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg with the Rev. Charles Johnson officiating.
Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Altenburg.
Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Choir.
