Sharon Sue Misuraca

SHARON SUE MISURACA, 80, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 6:38 am, Sunday, August 9, 2026 at Cedar Trails Senior Living, Freeburg, Illinois.

She was born to the late Fred and Corrine (nee Murden) Bunselmeyer on January 11, 1946 in Carbondale, Illinois.

Sharon married Richard Misuraca on July 10, 1965 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Chester, Illinois; he survives.

She had worked as the cafeteria head cook for Chester School District 139 for 19 years.

Sharon was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Chester, Illinois. She taught vacation bible school and PSR and was a member of the women’s auxiliary at church. She was also a member of the Chester Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the Braille Group. Sharon loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed taking care of others, cooking whatever anyone wanted to eat and playing board games and games at ladies night. Sharon liked ice cream, Elvis and wine.

        Bonnie Bunselmeyer and Mary (Tom) Albers
