Janet Ruth Feltz, 87, of Perryville, Missouri passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Independence Care Center.
She was born January 2, 1939 in Perryville, MO to Theodore and Margaret (Valleroy) Bachmann.
Janet first married Clyde Weinkein, the father of her two sons, on July 19, 1958 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. She later married Robert Feltz Sr. on November 10, 1979 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, MO. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1993.
She started her career as a carhop on roller skates and continued her career making light bulbs at General Electric in St. Louis. Later she went on to be a well known cook at Immanuel Lutheran School in Perryville, while also working on the family farm. She finished her career working at Sabreliner and TG Missouri.
Janet loved playing cards, puzzles, quilting, crocheting, embroidery, fishing and making homemade ice cream for her grandchildren. She was a social butterfly and never met a stranger.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, American Legion Post #133 Auxiliary, and VFW #4282 Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons, Mark (Sandy) Weinkein, Craig (Effie) Weinkein; step-son, Robert “Bobby” Feltz; four grandchildren, Beth (Chris) Stroup, Brandy (David) Neislein, Joshua (Megan) Weinkein, Amanda (Timothy) Riney; eleven great-grandchildren, LeeAnn, Ava, Wesley, Caroline, Norah, Brady, Gabriel, Addison, Remington, Isaac, Daisy Mae; two step-grandchildren, Zach Feltz; Macy Heinz; sister-in-law, Lorna Bachmann.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Bob Bachmann, Melvin Bachmann, Calvin Bachmann; step-grandchild, Ashlee Feltz.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, August 9, 2026 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville and will continue from 8:00 am to 9:50 am on Monday, August 10, 2026 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am Monday, August 10, 2026 at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to Immanuel Lutheran School.
