DU QUOIN, Ill. – One of the Midwest’s most anticipated dirt track racing traditions is just one month away as the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds Magic Mile prepares to host an exciting Labor Day weekend doubleheader on Saturday and Sunday, September 5-6.
The two-day racing spectacular will feature the stars of the USAC Silver Crown Champ Car Series, the ARCA Menards Series, and the always-popular DIRTcar Modifieds, bringing together three of the nation’s premier dirt track divisions at one of America’s most historic one-mile dirt ovals.
Saturday’s action will be headlined by the USAC Silver Crown Ted Horn 100, one of the most prestigious races on the Silver Crown schedule. The powerful Champ Cars will once again thunder around the legendary Magic Mile while the DIRTcar Modifieds begin their weekend with qualifying and preliminary heat race competition. Sunday’s finale features the ARCA Menards Series Audubon Park Dirt Double, where stock car stars tackle the historic dirt oval under the lights. The evening will also include the Bill Oldani Memorial for the DIRTcar Modifieds, bringing the weekend to a close with one of the division’s marquee events.

Advance adult tickets are $25 each day, while race day adult admission is $30. Children ages 11 and under are admitted for $10 each day. Reserved grandstand seating and general admission bleacher seating are available.

Saturday’s schedule includes pit gates opening at 7:00 a.m., grandstands opening at 9:00 a.m., Silver Crown practice and qualifying, DIRTcar Modified qualifying and heat races, followed by the Ted Horn 100 beginning at 1:30 p.m.
On Sunday, pit registration opens at 11:00 a.m., grandstands open at 3:00 p.m., followed by ARCA practice, Pole Qualifying, the Bill Oldani Memorial for the DIRTcar Modifieds at 6:30 p.m., and the ARCA Menards Series Audubon Park Dirt Double at 7:39 p.m.
The Du Quoin State Fairgrounds has produced countless memorable moments throughout its storied history, from legendary Silver Crown races to thrilling ARCA finishes on the famed Magic Mile.
