JEFFERSON CIT – ServMO is bringing the nationally recognized Youth Mental Health Corps (YMHC) to Missouri and we need YOUR help! We are seeking individuals passionate about empowering the next generation and strengthening the mental health workforce in Missouri to join our Youth Mental Health Taskforce.
The YMHC initiative represents a new approach to mental health that combines service, workforce development, and community impact. YMHC leverages national service through AmeriCorps to expand support for youth while creating meaningful career pathways for young adults.
The Missouri Youth Mental Health Taskforce will create a framework to reduce youth mental health challenges while addressing the national shortage of behavioral health professionals.
Eligible individuals need expertise in:
- Clinical Approaches/Therapy Frameworks
- Mental Health Certifications and Degrees
- Mental Health Workforce Training
- School- and Community-Based Mental Health/Youth Mental Health Career Pathways
- Substance Use Prevention and Recovery
- Youth Engagement and Developing Youth-Led Initiatives
- Youth-Focused Training and Curriculum

Application by 5 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026. Individuals selected for the taskforce are expected to attend two in-person taskforce meetings and two virtual meetings, between October 2026 and June 2027.
