PHS demolition is underway, STAY CLEAR!

PERRYVILLE – The Perry County School District No. 32 is warning would-be urban explorers to stay clear of the Perryville High School Demolition Site.

A district official stated “We understand the deep emotional connection our community has to the old Perryville High School building, and it is natural to want to watch the demolition progress or take photos. However, your safety is our top priority.”

All community members must strictly adhere to the following safety rules:

Stay Behind the Perimeter: Please remain completely behind all caution tape, orange construction fencing, and barricades at all times.

No Trespassing: The demolition zone is an active, restricted site. Trespassing inside the fenced areas—even after hours or on weekends—is strictly prohibited and highly dangerous.

The official added, “We want to ensure this project is completed safely and without incident. Thank you for your cooperation.”
