In Loving Memory of Robert “Bob” R. Roth Sr. 97 years old of Sainte Genevieve, MO, July 7, 1928 – July 2, 2026
He is survived by Son, Robert “Scud” R. (Linda) Roth, Jr., Daughter, Elois “Ellie” A. Roth, Son, David J. (Sheila) Roth, 10 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren and 1 on the way.
He was preceded in death by Wife, Delores Mae Roth; Daughter, Judith L. Hale; Father, Eugene E. Roth; Mother, Irene W. (Siebert) Roth; Sister, Myra Nanney-Brazie; Brother, Paul “Rocky” E. Roth.
Visitation will be at Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, MO on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 from 9:00 am till 10:45 am.
Service will be at Ste. Genevieve Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 11:00 am.
Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, MO with full military honors.
Memorials can be made to Ste. Genevieve Nutrition Center, Cape Girardeau Veterans Home or Charity of Choice.
Bob was a faithful member of Ste. Genevieve Catholic Church and proudly belonged to American Legion Post 150 for more than 70 years, Knights of Columbus Council 1037, the Ste. Genevieve Flying Club, and the American Radio Relay League as a HAM radio operator (W0DFK). Through his passion for amateur radio, Bob made contacts in every county across the United States as well as with operators in numerous countries around the world.
An avid motorcyclist, Bob and his wife enjoyed traveling with friends, exploring 48 states together on two wheels. In his spare time, he found great enjoyment in model railroading, where his creativity, patience, and attention to detail came to life. Above all, he cherished his family and could often be found spending countless hours in the bleachers, enthusiastically supporting his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren at their sporting events and activities.
