Wilma (Heise) Meinz Miller, 99, of Hazelwood, Missouri passed away Thursday, July 2, 2026 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.
She was born July 8, 1926 in Wittenburg, MO to Henry and Elda (Richter) Heise. Wilma was six days short of celebrating her 100th birthday.
Wilma and Gilbert Meinz were married and he preceded her in death. She then married Eugene Miller and he also preceded her in death.
She worked as a seamstress and a Avon representative. Wilma enjoyed sewing for others, reading, baking and cooking. She was a good mother and grandmother.
She was formerly a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Hazelwood, MO. She was baptized and confirmed at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna, MO.
Survivors include son, David Meinz; daughter, Karen (Scott) LaFlam; grandchild, Sarah (Fiance William Dea) LaFlam.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first Husband, Gilbert Meinz; second husband, Eugene Miller; two brothers, Harold Heise, Elmer Heise.
Visitation will be from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, July 5, 2026 at Ford & Young East Perry Chapel in Altenburg, MO and will continue from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Monday, July 6, 2026 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna, MO.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am Monday, July 6, 2026 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna with Rev. Lawton Thompson officiating.
Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association or Concordia Lutheran Church.
