The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control (DDCC) announces the arrest of Anthony R. Dorsey, 42, of Fredericktown, MO, for child sex crimes. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Special Victims Unit (SVU) with the assistance of the Missouri Digital Forensic Center.
In June 2026, SVU investigators received two CyberTips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The CyberTips contained identifiable information indicating an online user had distributed/transferred child pornography online.
On June 29, 2026, investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in Fredericktown, MO. SVU investigators located Dorsey at the residence, and evidence of child sexual abuse material was located on an electronic device located at the residence. As a result, Dorsey was arrested and transported to the Madison County Jail.
On June 30, 2026, the Madison County Prosecuting Attorney formally charged Dorsey with one count of Promoting Child Pornography and five counts of Possession of Child Pornography. He is being held at the Madison County Jail with bond set at $250,000.
DDCC encourages internet users to promptly report to the Patrol or local law enforcement anyone who attempts to engage in unwanted, inappropriate, or sexualized communications with children.
The charges for which the above individual was arrested are mere accusations and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of these charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
