Ste. Genevieve Fire District
STE. GENEVIEVE – The time of the year has come. Fireworks are now being sold and used. Last night we had our first fireworks related call.
We were dispatched for smoke coming from the rear of a building, dispatched as a structure fire. Luckily it was just someone using fireworks and not as house fire.
When we get dispatched for a structure fire, many first responders are put at risk while responding to help our community. We would like to remind everyone that fireworks are prohibited in the city of Ste Genevieve.
Please help us reduce the risk and follow the city ordinance.
