PERRYVILLE – The city of Perryville has released the following information regarding fireworks in the city.

Firework season is here! Please review these important safety tips and ordinance reminders before celebrating.
No person under the age of seventeen (17) years of age shall possess, discharge, ignite, or explode any article of fireworks within the city unless under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian.
No bottle rockets may be sold, distributed, or discharged within the city limits. No person shall sell, distribute, possess, use, ignite, or allow to be ignited any aerial fireworks within the city. (By definition this means anything with a stick such as bottle rocket or larger rockets. Mortar rounds are ok to be shot but use common sense); the use of sky lanterns is prohibited as well.
No person shall discharge, ignite, or explode any article of fireworks except between the hours of 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. during the period from June 20th through July 6th of each year and between the hours of 10 a.m. on July 4th and 12 (midnight) on July 4th of each year.
In your yard, NOT in any municipal park in the city or from the roof or from the inside of any building. Also prohibited from discharging them from the city streets, sidewalks, or right-of-ways.
Lastly, no person shall ignite or discharge any fireworks within or throw the same from a motor vehicle while within nor shall any person place or throw any ignited article of fireworks into or at such a motor vehicle or at or near any person or group of people
