STE. GENEVIEVE – Bloomsdale Elementary received an unexpected and generous gift this week when community member Dennis Walker donated $10,000 to support the school.

Walker surprised school leaders with the contribution during a visit to the school. Bloomsdale Elementary Principal Nate Kingery and Assistant Principal Andrea Fritsch accepted the donation on behalf of Bloomsdale Elementary.
“We are stunned by Mr. Walker’s kindness and generosity,” Mr. Kingery said. “These are the moments you read about and say, ‘I wish that would happen here!’ Our plan is to use the funds to improve our playground, making it safer, more fun and more accessible for all students at Bloomsdale Elementary.”
The school is grateful for Walker’s support and investment in its students. Gifts such as this help create opportunities that will benefit children for years to come and reflect the strong partnership between the school and community.
Bloomsdale Elementary extends its sincere thanks to Mr. Walker for his generosity and commitment to supporting local students.
