THURSDAY, JUNE 11, 2026

 

19TH Day of the April Term. The Commission Met Pursuant to Adjournment. Present were Presiding Commissioner Randy Ruzicka, Associate Commissioners Cory Ford and Mark Marberry along with Deputy County Clerk, Michele Gatzemeyer.

 

THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER BY PRESIDING COMMISSIONER RUZICKA AT 8:15 А.М.

 

THE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING THAT WAS HELD ON THURSDAY, JUNE 4, 2026 WERE READ. COMMISSIONER FORD MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE SAID MINUTES AS PRESENTED. COMMISSIONER MARBERRY SECONDED THE MOTION. COMMISSIONER FORD YEA. COMMISSIONER MARBERRY YEA. ALL IN FAVOR. MOTION PASSED.

Commissioner Ford made a ‘Motion’ to approve the Agenda for today’s meeting. Commissioner Marberry seconded the ‘Motion’. Commissioner Ford yea. Commissioner Marberry yea. All in favor. Motion passed.

 

Commission reviewed ROW for Phase III as it relates to Citizen’s Electric Project. Decision was made to table this agenda item until Monday; additional details remain to be ‘worked out’.

 

Courthouse ‘Masonry Project’ Update – Following are the updates regarding the same: *Scaffolding has been taken down. *Crew will be returning to finish project with a ‘manlift’. *Side of building facing the ‘Ste. Genevieve Art Guild’ has been sealed and is ‘complete’.

 

‘Request for Qualifications’ for Engineering Services has been requested by Ste. Genevieve County w/planned ‘RFQ’ Opening scheduled for Monday, July 6th @ 10:00 A.M. Said ‘RFQ’ is needed in effort for the ‘County’ to continue pursuit of CDBG Grant.

 

As it relates to ‘Courthouse Steps’ repair; the Commission is waiting on additional ‘bid’.

 

Mr. Scott Schmieder, R&B Foreman, was scheduled off today. He contacted the Commission to provide report for today’s meeting. Following was reported:

 

*As previously discussed, Mr. Schmieder mentioned that there are roads that need to be ‘repaired’ in effort to keep them from resulting in major disrepair. Mr. Schmieder noted that several of the roads he would like to take into consideration are:

*Routine Maintenance being completed on ‘County Roads’.

*Charter Church Road

*Bloom Road

*Three Rivers Road

Additional discussion will be provided @ future meeting prior to any final decisions being made.
