Missouri Conservation Commission Action – May Meeting

ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Conservation Commission met May 28 for a closed executive session at the St. Louis Zoo, 1 Government Drive in St. Louis. The Commission also met May 29 for a regular open meeting at Washington City Hall Council Chamber, 405 Jefferson St. in Washington. Commissioners attending the open meeting in person were:

ADMINISTRATION

The Commission:

  • Approved items on the Consent Calendar.
  • Approved recommendations to modify nonresident deer hunting harvest limit.
  • Gave initial approval of recommendations for new nonresident deer hunting permit.
  • Gave initial approval of recommendations for camping permit.
  • Gave initial approval of recommendations for permit for unstaffed firearms shooting ranges.
  • Approved Department’s Fiscal Year 2027 Internal Expenditure Plan.
  • Approved construction of the Pleasant Hope Conservation Area Shooting Range Relocation project located in Brighton.
  • Approved amending the existing professional services agreement with HDR, Inc., of Omaha (NE)for the design and construction administration of the Bennett Spring Fish Hatchery Renovation Project currently paused in Laclede County.
  • Approved the advertisement and sale of an estimated 629,557 board feet of timber located on 308 acres of Compartment 13, Rocky Creek Conservation Area in Shannon County.
  • Approved the advertisement and sale of an estimated 643,949 board feet of timber located on 128 acres of Compartment 4 on Graves Mountain Conservation Area in Wayne County.
  • Approved the purchase of approximately 127.5 acres in Sullivan County adjacent to the Morris Prairie Conservation Area to be named the Alfred J. and Joanna C. Anesi Tract of the Morris Prairie Conservation Area.
  • Approved the suspension or revocation of one or more hunting, fishing, or trapping privileges of 35 individuals for cause or court order:
