Lurie Ann (Graupman) Freels, 77, of Perryville, Missouri, passed away at The Arbors at Parkwood Meadows in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, on May 24, 2026.
She was born on May 6, 1949, in Mexico, Missouri.
On April 27, 1968, she was united in marriage to Mervyn D. Freels in Vandalia, Missouri. Lurie devoted her life to her family and found great joy in raising her two children, caring for her garden, and spending time with her grandchildren and her many beloved dogs and cats.
She is survived by her daughters, Grace (Michael) Pyle of Perryville and Genna (Eric) Cohen of Scottsdale, Arizona; her grandchildren, Emmalee (Blake) Schnurbusch, Renee (Anthony) Skodachek, Shjon Pyle, Kyle Cohen, Tyler Cohen, Kate Cohen, and Jake Cohen; her great-grandson, Tate Schnurbusch, with one more great-grandchild on the way; and her best friend, Evelyn Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mervyn D. Freels; her mother, Grace (Drake) Graupman; and her father, Marvin Graupman.
A graveside service will be held at a later date in Mexico, Missouri.
