ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Did you know that in the time it takes to sing the chorus of Take Me Out to the Ball Game, 13 units of blood will be transfused to patients in need. For over 20 years, the St. Louis Cardinals have partnered with the American Red Cross, helping to collect over 20,000 units of lifesaving blood. This year, the community will once again have the chance to step up to the plate and help save lives.
“20 years of teamwork. Over 20,000 units of blood. This partnership with the Cardinals has been proof that when communities unite, lives are saved,” said LaKricia Cox, Executive Director, Red Cross of Greater St. Louis. “Every donation tells a story of hope.”
“The Cardinals are proud of our longstanding partnership with the American Red Cross of Greater St. Louis and the lifesaving impact this annual blood drive has on our community,” said Michael Hall, Vice President of Community Relations and Executive Director of Cardinals Care. “Initiatives like this are only possible through teamwork, and that spirit of coming together to support others is a hallmark of the Cardinals organization. We are honored to help support the critical work of ensuring blood is available for patients and families when they need it most.”
Everyone who attempts to donate will receive a free, commemorative St. Louis Cardinals Blood Drive T-shirt, while supplies last. Additionally, all who come to give June 1-28, 2026 will receive a $15 e-gift card to their choice of merchant PLUS automatic entry for a chance to win one of two $7,500 gift cards!
