Sherry Greminger, 78, of Desloge, Missouri, died May 25, 2026, at her home. Born May 25, 1948, in Deering to Albert Edwards and the late Nola Edwards.
On May 31, 1969, in New Madrid she married Ron Greminger, who survives of the home.
She was a mother, teacher, journalist, newspaper editor, and mentor to countless children and coworkers alike.
She was a founding member of the Big River Chautuaqua Festival and involved with the event for over 25 years.
In retirement, she committed time to family and loved every opportunity she had to spend with her grandson.
Additional survivors include: a sister, Sheila Halford of Risco; a son and daughter-in-law, David Greminger and Jennifer Adams of Knob Lick; a daughter and son-in-law, Gretchen Greminger and Nathan Nightingale of Savannah, GA; two grandchildren, William Greminger and Hailee Komaromi; three nephews/niece, John Paul, Michelle and Matthew: and beloved pet cats including Janie and Pinky.
Visitation will be at Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, MO on Monday, June 1, 2026 from 10:00 am till 12:00 pm
There will be a private graveside service at a later date located in Valle Spring cemetery.
