Randolph County Sheriff announces burglary arrests

CHESTER – The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of 46 year old, Keyven Gasaway of Percy, Illinois, 39 year old Lisa Boitano of Chester Illinois, and 33 year old Justin Rettig of Sparta, Illinois.

Gasaway has been charged with 1 count of Burglary and 1 count of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon,

Boitano and Rettig were each charged with 1 count of Burglary.

 

The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office was notified on April 21st, 2026 of a burglary that had occurred at a residence in rural Walsh, Illinois.  On April 23rd, the Sheriff’s Office was notified of another burglary at that same location. 

 

With a covert surveillance system, Investigators were able to obtain photographs and videos of the persons involved. 

 

On April 29th, members of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office and Steeleville Police Department executed a search warrant in Percy Illinois, which resulted in the recovery of stolen property. The investigation subsequently led detectives to several additional locations, resulting in the recovery of additional stolen items.

 

Gasaway, Boitano and Rettig were all taken into custody later that evening. All three were held at Randolph County Jail.

 

Boitano and Rettig have subsequently been released with pre-trial conditions under the Illinois Safe-T Act with a future court date.

 

Gasaway remains in custody following a detention hearing on May 4th.

 

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
