Bloomsdale man escapes injury in I-55 crash

JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a Bloomsdale man was unhurt following a two-vehicle crash on I-55 in St. Louis County.

 

According to the accident report, the 55-year-old man from Bloomsdale was driving a 2000 Sterling DT when the vehicle struck the rear of a 2013 Hyundai Accent. The driver of the Hyundai, a 74-year-old man from St. Louis suffered moderate injuries. He was taken to Mercy Hospital South by the Mehlville Fire Protection District.

 

The crash happened about 1:13 p.m. Monday south of Butler Hill.

 

The Sterling had minor damage was driven from the scene. The Hyundai had moderate damage and was towed by Miners Towing.

 

The patrol says both drivers were buckled up.
