PCSD 32 School Board holds reorganization meeting

PERRYVILLE – The Perry County School District No. 32 has released a summary of the proceedings of the Thursday, April 16 meeting of the Board of Education.

 

The open session was called to order at 7:00 p.m. and the pledge of allegiance was recited.

 

The board approved the consent agenda items which consisted of:

  • March 10, 11, 31, 2026 minutes
  • March 2026 warrants

 

 

Recognitions were held for FBLA State Qualifiers: Levi Pyland and Brooke Sutterer, (seen in photo above), and also for Ashli Berkheimer, Eloise Bollinger, Bryce Naeger, Janie Porter, Josie Robinson, and Zach Seyer,

 

 

The certified election results were accepted. The oath of office was administered to Caleb Streiler, Daniel Querry and Terry Wichern.

 

The reorganization of the board was held and the results are as follows:

Dominic Blythe, Board President;

Nancy Voelker, Vice President;

Kevin Bachmann as Delegate for MSBA;

Terry Wichern as Alternate Delegate for MSBA;

Lacey O’Keefe, Board Treasurer and Alternate Board Secretary;

Julie Wibbenmeyer, Board Secretary.

 

The board accepted the resignation of Alexandria Leuders as a board member and declared a vacancy on the board of education. (See the district’s statement on filling the vacancy below).

 

A storm recovery update was given.

 

The board approved the following bids:

  • Moving forward with bidding out the interim school package 2A
  • Holcomb Engineering – geotech proposal
  • Republic Services – Waste Management Services
  • The Bug Guy – Pest Control Services
  • Cintas – Fire Safety System Services
  • Ozarc Gas – Welding Rods & Gases

 

Closed Session:

The school district has released this announcement regarding the filling of the vacancy on the board.

 

The Perry County School District 32 Board of Education is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on the Board following the resignation of Alex Lueders.

 

The appointed individual will serve until the next Board election in April 2027, at which time a candidate will be elected to fill the remainder of the term, which expires in April 2028. 

 

To be eligible for appointment, a candidate must meet the following qualifications as set forth by Missouri law:

  • Be a citizen of the United States.
  • Be a resident taxpayer of the District.
  • Have resided in Missouri for one year preceding appointment.
  • Be at least 24 years of age.
  • Not be delinquent in the payment of any state or local taxes.
  • Not have been found guilty of or pleaded guilty to a felony.
  • Not be a registered sex offender.
  • Have filed all required campaign disclosure reports with the Missouri Ethics Commission, when applicable.

 

To Apply: A letter of interest and a completed application form must be submitted to the Board Secretary by noon on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 to 503 Schindler Rd, Perryville, MO 63775, rear entrance.

All application information and the interview process will be conducted in open session in compliance with the Missouri Sunshine Law. 

 

Applications and interviews, if necessary, will be held on April 29, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at a special open session meeting.
