JEFFERSON CITY — A 16-year-old Ste. Genevieve girl was hurt in a traffic crash on Route Z in Ste. Genevieve County Wednesday evening.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the girl suffered moderate injuries and was taken by Air Evac helicopter to Mercy Hospital South.
According to the accident report, the crash happened when the 2011 Chevrolet Malibu the girl was driving west on Route Z ran off the right side of the roadway, struck several signs and overturned. The patrol reports the girl was buckled up.
The crash happened about 6 p.m. east of I-55.
The Malibu was a total loss and was removed by Boyd’s Towing.
