CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Access and affordability are major barriers to dental care. In response, Delta Dental of Missouri—a nonprofit organization and the state’s leading dental benefits provider—has released its 2026 Dental Care Resource Guide. This online directory, available at www.deltadentalmo.com/resourceguide, provides information about low-cost and free options for those who cannot afford dental services.
The Dental Care Resource Guide lists 151 dental clinics and programs offering low-cost dental care, nearly a dozen of which provide treatment completely free of charge to those who qualify. The guide is organized by geographic regions throughout the state. Those in the Southeast Missouri region have 17 local options. Services vary by provider and may include exams, cleanings, X-rays, fluoride treatments, sealants, fillings, crowns, root canals, bridges, extractions, and full and partial dentures. Individuals should contact providers to confirm eligibility, available services and appointment requirements.
“No one should go without dental care because they cannot access or afford it,” said Stacy Harris, executive director of community impact at Delta Dental of Missouri. “Our mission is to help children and adults get the care they need, and this updated guide makes it easier than ever to find free or low-cost options that can improve oral health, overall health and quality of life.”
The Dental Care Resource Guide also provides a link to the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services’ free and low-cost transportation resources. Learn more at www.deltadentalmo.com/resourceguide.
