Trespass at the Adorers of the Blood of Christ facility located at 2
Pioneer Lane, Ruma, Illinois. Adorers of the Blood of Christ
representatives reported the crimes to Randolph County Sheriff’s Office
on February 16th.

An investigation into the incident uncovered that the Adorers of the
Blood of Christ facility had been broken into on the early morning hours
of February 14th & 15th. The perpetrators gained access to the building
by breaking a window on a lower level and used the same window upon
their return the following morning.

Investigators were able to use an extensive surveillance system at the
facility along with surveillance systems at nearby establishments to aid
in the identification of the individuals involved.
Cheyene Andrews, an 18-year-old Cedar Hill. Missouri, resident was
arrested on March 13th, 2026, by Jefferson County Missouri Sheriff’s
Office on Randolph County Warrants for Criminal Damage to Property –
Damage Exceeded $500 but did not Exceed $10,000 to a Place of Worship
(Class 3 Felony), and Criminal Trespass to Real Property (Class B
Misdemeanor). Andrews was later transferred to Randolph County Jail and
released with pre-trial release conditions.

This investigation uncovered an extensive group of juvenile and young
adults that are engaged in what they call ‘Urban Exploring’.

The sheriff said these individuals break into buildings or structures to
‘explore’ and then post photographs and videos across multiple social
media platforms from the inside of the buildings. Through the posting of
such media, other individuals engaged in the same kind of illegal
activities, seek out and unlawfully enter the same buildings for their
own social media content. Investigators have learned of multiple other
instances where this kind of activity has taken place at the Adorers of
the Blood of Christ facility. They have identified multiple other
offenders and are seeking charges.

Sheriff Peters stated: “This type of activity may seem harmless to some
people; however, I want it to be clear that my Office does not share
that sentiment. We will investigate and seek prosecution to the fullest
extent of the law, for anyone who damages or trespasses on property in
Randolph County. I want to credit my Detectives and Deputies for their
continued work on this case and would like to encourage anyone with
information concerning this case or any related case to contact my
Detective Division at 618-826-5484 extension 506 or 507.”
