CHESTER – Chester High School senior, Lexie Mott, has signed a letter of intend to continue her softball career next year at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis, Missouri. Missouri Baptist University is a private evangelical Christian university located in Western St. Louis County.

More specifically, the school is located in Creve Coeur, Missouri at 1 College Park Drive, in Saint Louis, Missouri, 63141. Local Lexi Mott softball fans and supporters are well-within driving distance to follow her career at the collegiate level.
A signing event as held at Chester High School Wednesday March 4 in the Professor James F. Sharp Cafeteria with family, friends, fellow teammates, teachers and staff as well as current and former coaches in attendance.

In August of 2002, the Missouri Baptist College was renamed Missouri Baptist University. The school offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees. The current enrollment at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis is over 4,800 students. The main campus in West County is housed on 81 acres. The institution also offers adult education and evening classes at several satellite campuses.
Mott will play for the Missouri Baptist Spartans. The Spartans play in the Heart of America Conference. This season will be their first season in that conference. They are currently ranked 15th in the nation. Last year Missouri Baptist had an overall record of 48-6. In the 2026 season the Spartans are picked to win the Heart of America Conference!

Lexie Mott’s current Chester High School Softball Lady Jacket Teammates and her former teammates, Ellen McCormick and Lexi Eggemeyer, came to support her at her signing event at CHS Wednesday March 4th. Mott will play softball next year when she is a freshman at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis.
That conference in a member of the NAIA, and considered to be the top conference in the NAIA. Currently, the Spartans kicked-off this season playing in Mesquite, Texas February 5-7. Next they traveled to Alexandria, Louisiana February 13-15. More recently Missouri Baptist played at Shawnee, Oklahoma February 20-22. Their final road trip this spring was to Melbourne, Florida where they competed in the Spring Space Coast Tournament where they finished 6-0.
Miss Mott is currently beginning her senior softball season at Chester High School where she is a key member of the Chester Lady Jackets Softball Team. She is a strong three-sport athlete at CHS having already excelled at volleyball and basketball. This spring Mott will be a starting pitcher for the Lady Jackets.

Lexie went to elementary school at St. John Lutheran School in Chester. While there she was actively involved in Basketball, Softball, Volleyball and Track. She was also a very good student academically and was inducted into the Beta Club. At St. John Lexie was the starting pitcher on the Lady Hornets Team that won the State Championship.
At Chester High School, she has been involved in Basketball all four years, Softball all four years, and Volleyball for three years. Miss Mott was further a member of the CHS Summit Yearbook staff and a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
At CHS Lexie has been the Ace pitcher on the Lady Jacket’s Softball Team for the past three years. She has compiled 270 strikeouts and a 2.70 ERA last season. She led the Lady Jackets to a record of having the 2nd-most wins in a single season.
In her spare time, Lexie plays softball for the Southern Storm Team which is an “A” travel team. She has played for that team for a decade. Her experience on that travel team introduced her to some of the best competition in the United States. Her travel experience is where she has learned and improved significantly over the last 10 years. Her Head Coach on the Southern Storm is Chad Todaro.
During that time she has played in big tournaments in Gulf Shores, Alabama, Oklahoma City, Indianapolis, Indiana, Nashville, Tennessee, and throughout the Midwest against the top teams in the nation.
Miss Mott will graduate from Chester High School on May 17, 2026 at CHS Colbert Memorial Gymnasium. While at Missouri Baptist, Lexie plans to study in the Medical Field. She is the daughter of proud parents Jeff and Tracy Mott of Chester.
