JEFFERSON CITY – A 51-year-old Perryville man received minor injuries in a traffic crash at the intersection of Route J and Highway 51 in Perry County Monday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the man was taken to Mercy Hospital Perry by a Mercy Perry ambulance.
The patrol says the injured man had been a passenger in a 2003 Dodge 1500 which was parked on Route J with a towed unit. A 1998 Dodge Dakota driven by a 68-year-old Perryville man which was westbound on Route J struck the towed unit. He was not injured. A 49-year-old Perryville man who was the driver of the 1500, but may have been standing outside the truck, was also uninjured.
The Dakota was a total loss. The 1500 had minor damage. Both were removed by Perry County Towing.
The traffic crash happened about 4:45 p.m.
