Her sons, daughters-in-law, and beloved grandchildren were the center of her world and her greatest source of pride and happiness.

A faithful and dedicated member of her community, Carolyn belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary, the VFW Auxiliary, and Ste. Genevieve ARC. She served her community as a licensed funeral director for 53 years. Alongside her husband, Chipper, she proudly owned and operated Basler Funeral Home, providing compassionate care and guidance to countless families.

Simple and private by nature, Carolyn was a loyal and devoted friend to many. She loved sports and rarely missed her children’s and grandchildren’s events, always cheering them on with pride and unwavering support.

Though her passing comes as a great loss, Carolyn is now reunited with her beloved Chipper. She leaves behind a legacy of dedication, kindness, and enduring love and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
