SGHS Varsity Boys Basketball won in double OT over Perryville 65-62! Congrats to Alex Basler who scored his 1,000th career varsity point!
SGHS Varsity Girls Basketball brought it to within four points halfway through the 4th quarter, but Potosi pulled away for the victory by a score of 51-41. Great game, ladies.
Wrestling
SGHS boys finished in fifth place in the state wrestling tournament.
SGHS’s Jacob Warren capped a tremendous wrestling career with a State Championship in the heavyweight division at the Class 2 State Boy Wrestling Championships.
SGHS’s Brody Winters had an impressive 2nd place finish in the 126 pound weight class at the Class 2 State Wrestling Championships.
SGHS’s Drake Meyer finished in 2nd place at the Class 2 State Boys Wrestling Championships in the 150 pound weight class.
SGHS Girls finished in second place at the State Girls’ Wrestling Championships.
Keely Fallert won back-to-back State Championships in the 140 pound weight class at the Class 1 State Championships.
Lexi Wolk, became the newest SGHS State Champion, when she won the 100 pound weight class in Class 1 as a freshman.
Anna Fischer finished in 2nd place in the 170 weigh class at the Class 1 State Wrestling Championships
Lilli Farlow placed 4th in the Class 1, 125 pound weight class at the MSHSAA State Championships.
Kobe Fallert came in 5th in the Class 2, 113 pound weight class at the MSHSAA State Championships.
Maggie Price finished in 6th place in the Class 1, 130 pound weight class at the MSHSAA State Championships.
