A funeral will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026 for 72-year-old Kathy Ann Valentine of Tamaroa, Illinois, who passed away at 3:05 am, Thursday, February 26, 2026 at her residence.
She was born to James and Betty (nee McDaniel) Garris on July 26, 1953 in Chester, Illinois. They both preceded her in death.
Kathy married Brian Valentine on February 14, 1979 in Chester, Illinois; he survives in Tamaroa.
She is also survived by three children: Randy Weibrecht of Farmington, MO, Jennifer Weibrecht of Cape Girardeau, MO and Kimberly (Lonnie) Jines Day City, FL; seven grandchildren: Alexis, Lyndsie, Bryan, Chandler, Dayton, Adrienne and Gavin; two great grandchildren; a brother: James (Carolyn) Garris; a nephew: James Garris III; three nieces: Velvet Garris, Lindsey Miller and Justine Witzel;
and great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a brother: William McDaniel, Jr.
She was a homemaker.
Kathy enjoyed going to yard sales and thrift shops.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the Pechacek Funeral Homes, Chester, Illinois.

Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Chester, Illinois.
