Jason Kyle Eggemeyer

A funeral will be held Friday, March 6, 2026 for 53-year-old Jason Kyle Eggemeyer of Walsh, Illinois, who passed away at 5:15 pm, Monday, February 23, 2026, at Mercy South Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

He was born January 7, 1973 in Sparta, Illinois, to Lonnie and Michele (nee Valleroy) Eggemeyer. His father preceded him in death, his mother survives in Evansville.

He is also survived by a brother: Justin Joel Eggemeyer of Evansville, IL; an aunt: Mary Patrice Todd six uncles: Melvin A. Valleroy, Randall Valleroy, Kendall Valleroy, Mark Valleroy, Gregory Valleroy, and Craig Valleroy and many cousins and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a sister: Dawn Reneé Eggemeyer; his grandparents: Otis and Mildred Eggemeyer and Melvin and Gladys Valleroy; and an aunt: Doris Hartmann

He had worked at Eco Material Technologies in Baldwin, Illinois, for 33 years.

Jason was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Evansville, Illinois.

A lifelong musician, he spent years playing bass guitar in various bands, a passion that led him to collaborate with his cousins to help produce several songs. His musical tastes were bold and eclectic; he was a die-hard heavy metal fan, with Pantera holding a special place in his heart, but he also had a deep appreciation for the raw storytelling of outlaw country.

 

Beyond the music, he found great joy in the thrill of going to the casino with his mom and in developing many new friendships.

Jason was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed riding a motorcycle.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2026 at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Evansville, Illinois.

A Funeral Mass for 53-year-old Jason Kyle Eggemeyer of Walsh will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2026 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Evansville, Illinois. Fr. Charles Anyaoku will officiate.

Interment will be in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Evansville, Illinois.
