PERRYVILLE – Michelle Hadler has joined Mineral Area College as the new Director of Perryville Higher Education Center (PHEC).
She comes to the college from the Southeast Missouri Regional Planning and Economic Development Commission and has previously taught as an adjunct instructor at Mineral Area College, St. Louis Community College, and Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.
As Director of PHEC, she will provide leadership at MAC’s Perryville location, serving as a resource for students, faculty, and the community. Hadler is excited to be a part of the MAC family and is passionate about supporting higher education in Perry County.
“The MAC Perryville campus is vital to the students in this area and allows them to begin their college journey, creating a positive ripple effect through the community,” she said. “Right now, there is so much exciting growth, development, and culture happening in Perryville and surrounding communities. I’m looking forward to working in this area to continue and expand the college opportunities through MAC at the Perryville campus.”
A graduate of Perryville High School, Hadler lived, studied, and worked in Chicago and St. Louis for a time before returning to the area with her husband Darryl to raise their son. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art from Southeast Missouri State University and a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.
