A private burial will be held for 79-year-old Harold Rodney Michaud of Newhall, CA, formerly of Perryville, who passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Henry Mayo Hospital, Newhall, CA.
He was born September 27, 1946 in Des Moines, IA to Harold J.and Phyllis A. (Carrington) Michaud, who both preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son: H. Andre Michaud of Newhall, CA; two sisters: Lynda (Robert) Troncale of Perryville, MO and Thelma (Thomas) Spence of Festus, MO; three nieces: Laura (Michael) Fitzgerald of Urbana, IL, Jeanine Marie (James) Simpson of Perryville, MO, and Justine (Kyle) Feldmann of St. Charles, MO; a nephew: Joseph Troncale of Perryville, MO; an aunt: Helen Triller; five great nieces; and eight great nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a sister: Lydia Hunt; two brothers-in-law: Bill J. Hunt and Jack Alexander; and a nephew: Matthew Alexander.
Harold was a Vietnam Veteran. He served in the U.S. Army 9th Division, where he earned two Army Commendation Medals and also the U.S. Army Infantryman Badge.
A private military burial will be held at Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery in Perryville, MO.
Memorial contributions may be given to Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial.
