A funeral will be held Thursday, February 19, 2026 for 64-year-old Diane Marie (Feltz) Abt of Saint Mary, who passed away February 15, 2026.
She was born in Perryville June 23, 1961, to Bobby Leo Feltz and Barbara Ann (Buatte) Feltz, who both preceded her in death.
She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years: Donald Eugene Abt; a daughter: Miranda (Jeremy) Chappius; two granddaughters: Lyza and Lexi Chappius; brothers-in-law: John (Helen) Abt, Charles Abt, Robert (Gail) Abt, Kenneth (Betty) Abt, Bill Abt, Larry (Joann) Abt, Ronald Huber; sisters-in-law: Mary (Richard) Stoll, Kathy (David) Gegg, Norma (Bud) Bohnert, Patricia Jr. Lipp, Joann (Kenny) Basler, and Cynthia (Jerome) Viox.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers-in-law: Gilbert Abt, Gary Abt, and William Knapp; and sisters-in-law: Nowetta Abt, Gloria Jean Huber, and Janet Abt.
Diane was a 1979 graduate of Perryville High School.
She worked primarily as a caregiver at Marian Cliff Manor, United Enterprises, and Life Enrichment Center. She also worked at TG Missouri.
Diane loved spending time with her family and friends and especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Diane had a beautiful soul and heart of gold.
She never met a stranger and loved talking to anyone she would meet.
Diane enjoyed the months of Spring and Summer most. She liked planting flowers and shopping.
Diane enjoyed spoiling her family and friends with little gifts that reminded her of them.
Diane especially loved God and was strong in her faith.
Diane was a long time member of the Immaculate Conception Church of Saint Mary, Missouri.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Thursday, February 19, 2026 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
