PERRYVILLE – The Perry County Rural Fire Department was called to the
400 block of Tanglewood Dr. Friday, February 6, 2026 at approximately
3:51 a.m. for a house fire.
According to the fire report:
The first arriving officer found a story and half residence with fire
inside the residence. Upon the first arriving apparatus a 1 ¾ inch
pre-connect line was pulled to the front door and interior fire
suppression began.
Heavy fire and smoke conditions were found inside the structure by the
interior crew. A pre- connected line was pulled to the rear of the
structure to the basement door. A fire attack was then made up the
basement stairs to the main floor.
The house was a total loss. No injuries were reported. There were
occupants in the residence when the fire started. They exited the
structure on their own power.
The Missouri State Fire Marshall was called to the scene to
investigate. At this time the cause of the fire is undetermined.
