Missouri Conservation Commission Action – February Meeting

JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Conservation Commission met Feb. 4 for a closed executive session and its regular open meeting with both held at Commission Headquarters, 2901 W. Truman Blvd. in Jefferson City. Commissioners attending the open meeting in person or online were:

PRESENTATIONS

The Commission received the following presentations or reports:

  • Report of the Regulations Committee, including recommendations for changes to the Wildlife Code identified during the annual review — Laura Conlee, Deputy Director and Chair, Regulations Committee

ADMINISTRATION

The Commission:

  • Approved items on the Consent Calendar.
  • Approved the advertisement and sale of an estimated 1,358,741 board feet of timber located on 523 acres of Compartment 36, Rocky Creek Conservation Area in Shannon County.
  • Approved the purchase of approximately three acres in Marion County to serve as an office facility for local staff.
  • Approved the acceptance of a donation of approximately 458.58 acres in Adair County from Joyce Poehlman Otten with it to be named the Sugar Creek Conservation Area (Bill and Joyce Otten Unit).
  • Approved the suspension or revocation of one or more hunting, fishing, or trapping privileges of 19 individuals for cause or court order:

  2. Christopher H. Copeland, Scott City, Hunting, 2 Years;
  3. Tim J. Coterel, Sedalia, Hunting/Fishing/Trapping, Add 1.5 Years to Current Revocation;
