A funeral will be held Thursday, February 5, 2026 for 85-year-old Eilert Charles Mahnken of Frohna, Missouri who passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Mercy Perry Hospital.
He was born August 10, 1940 in Perryville, MO to Gottlieb and Verna (Kassel) Mahnken who both preceded him in death.
Eilert and Erna L.Weber were married August 6, 1967 at Uniontown, MO. They were blessed with 58 years of marriage. She survives him in Perryville.
He is also survived by three daughters: Sherry L. Mahnken of Rolla, Jean I. Mahnken of Perryville, and Joan M. (Michael) Thomas of Hillsborough, NC; a son: John D. (Nikki) Mahnken of Perryville; seven grandchildren: Griffin Thomas, Ella Thomas, Lucas Robinson, Arianna Mahnken, Emeryn Mahnken, Quentin Mahnken, and Treyton Mahnken.
He was also preceded in death bythree brothers: Hilmer Mahnken, Armin Mahnken, and Leonard Mahnken and two sisters: Delfie Mueller and Eileen Mahnken.
He worked as a farmer and enjoyed working with his cattle. Eilert loved participating in the East Perry Fair Mule Jump. He also enjoyed coon hunting and spending time with his grandkids.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.
Visitation will be 8:30-9:50 a.m. Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.
A funeral for 85-year-old Eilert Charles Mahnken of Frohna, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville with Rev. Joseph Schlie officiating.
Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to Immanuel Lutheran School.
