Robert Paul ‘Bob” Ray, 89, of Perryville, Missouri passed away Friday, January 16, 2026, at his residence.
He was born December 24, 1936, in St. Louis, MO, to Paul and Zoe Anna (Clark) Ray.
He and Francine Hurst were married April 27, 1957, in Overland,MO.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Knights of Columbus Council #1263, Rotary Club of Perryville, and American Legion #133 Boosters. He was an original founder of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and Thrift Store.
Robert was the owner and operator of the Perryville K.O.A. He enjoyed spending time on his coin collection.
Robert was very generous toward anyone he met that was in need. He was very proud of his beloved family and was a devoted husband, proud father and grandfather.
Survivors include son, John (Sheila) Ray; daughter, Cheryl (Ken) Ray-Layton; brother, Edwin (Marita) Ray; five grandchildren, Adam (Amanda) Sippel, Matthew (Ashley Niccum) Sippel, Justin (Elizabeth) Ray, Katlyn (Garrett) Flentge, Wesley Ray; three “Bonus” grandchildren; Six great-grandchildren; and three “Bonus” great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Ronald Ray.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 22, 2026, and from 8:00 am to 9:30 am Friday, January 23, 2026, at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Friday, January 23, 2026 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville with the Rev. Joe Geders C.M. officiating.
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Afton.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
