William “Will” Jordan, 96, of Saint Louis, Missouri passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
He was born August 2, 1929 in Marquand, MO to Daniel W. and Lora (Meyers) Jordan.
Will married Lawana Francis Grimaud. She preceded him in death.
He served in the United States Army and retired from General Motors.
Will enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinals and throwing horseshoes. He loved watching his granddaughters play basketball and spending time with his family. In his words his biggest accomplishments were raising his children, not having to kill anyone in Korea while in service, and not getting shot.
Survivors include four sons, Gary (Colleen) Jordan, Jerry Jordan, Jeff (Christy) Jordan, Chris (Dawn) Jordan; daughter, Cheryl (Robert) Laycook; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; five great-great children.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lawana Jordan; three brothers, Gene Jordan, Jess Jordan, Luther (Brandy) Jordan; sister, Lois Lane.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville and will continue from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at the funeral home.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville with Rev. Christopher Seah officiating.
Burial will be at Whitener Cemetery in Marquand, MO with military honors.
