STE. GENEVIEVE –Just before 10:30 a.m. Sunday, units from Stations 5, 2, and 7, along with automatic aid from Jefferson R-7 Fire Protection District, Goose Creek Lake Fire Department, and Ste Genevieve Fire District, were dispatched to the 6100 block of Charter Church Road in Ste. Genevieve County for a reported residential fire.
Upon arrival, crews found a working structure fire with a brush fire threatening a second structure. Two handlines were immediately deployed to initiate fire attack, and the fire was brought under control.
There were no injuries reported.
One dog was successfully rescued from the residence. All units have since returned to service.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Missouri State Fire Marshal’s office.
A fire district official stated “We would like to thank our mutual aid partners for their quick response and assistance on this incident.”
