Paul Francis Douglas, Sr., aged 89 years, of Sainte Genevieve, MO, passed away on January 8, 2026 at Riverview at the Park Nursing Home in Sainte Genevieve, MO. Born on August 7, 1936 in Sainte Genevieve, MO, Paul married Leola Herman on July 12, 1958.
He is survived by his children: Lora (Shelly) Gracey of Ste. Genevieve, MO, Paul (Rosemary) Douglas, Jr. of Ste. Genevieve, MO, and Terese (Jeff) Bovee of Augusta, KS. His grandchildren include Dan (Jen) Gracey, Geoff (Carrie) Gracey, Kevin (Maddie) Douglas, and Nick, Josh, Ryan, and Kyle Bovee. He also leaves behind great-grandchildren Eleanor, Juliann, and Nolan Gracey.
Paul was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Leola (Herman) Douglas; his parents, Francis Douglas and Edna (Leat) Douglas; his sister, Mary Ellen Jokerst, and grandson, Jonathan Thomal.
Paul honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1037 and the American Legion Post 150.
A private graveside service will be held at Valle Spring Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, MO. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society of Ste. Genevieve.
