PERRYVILLE – The Perry County School District 32 Board of Education has appointed Dr. Stacey Versemann as the district’s next Chief Academic Officer.

Currently in her fourth year as the Assistant Principal at Perry County Middle School, Dr. Versemann will assume her new role on July 1, 2026. She replaces Jane Narrow, who is retiring at the end of the school year after three years in the role and 31 total years as an administrator and teacher in District 32.

“I am truly excited to step into the role of Chief Academic Officer and to have the opportunity to work alongside our dedicated teachers and administrators,” Dr. Versemann said. “I look forward to strengthening collaboration, supporting instructional practices, and supporting student growth across buildings.”

Dr. Versemann started her career in education as an early childhood special education teacher at Cape Girardeau Public Schools from 2010-14. She returned home to Perryville in 2014 where she served as a special education teacher and process coordinator for early childhood (2014-19) and 3-5th grade (2019-22) before accepting her current position at PCMS.

A 2005 Perryville High School graduate, Dr. Versemann earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri in 2009 before completing a master’s degree in education at Mizzou in 2010.

She later earned a master’s in administration from Southeast Missouri State University in 2018 before completing her doctorate in education at Southern Illinois University in 2024. Dr. Versemann also holds secondary administration, elementary administration, and special services director certificates from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).
