Three persons who failed to appear in court in Ste. Genevieve have been arrested in Scott County

BENTON — Three persons have been arrested in Scott County on Ste. Genevieve County warrants for failing to appear in court last week.

 

According to a news report on WSIL a suspicious vehicle report at General Watkins Campground led to multiple arrests and drug trafficking charges Friday.

Scott County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 43-year-old Christopher Gibson of Herrin, Illinois, 22-year-old Isaiah Gibson of Malden and 25-year-old Misty Maze of Herrin, Illinois on outstanding warrants from Ste. Genevieve County for failing to appear on drug-related charges.

 

Bonds were set in the Ste. Genevieve County warrants at $25,000 on Christopher Gibson, $10,000 on Isaiah Gibson and  $5,000 on Misty Maze.

 

During the investigation, the sheriff’s office said they found suspected fentanyl and drug paraphernalia, leading to additional charges of second-degree drug trafficking and possession for all three. Two of the individuals also faced charges for providing false information to law enforcement.

 

The individuals were taken to the Scott County Jail.
