STE. GENEVIEVE – A 26-year-old Ste. Genevieve man has been charged with four counts of statutory rape with a juvenile victim in his home.
According to court documents Sean N. Coffey is charged with having sex with the juvenile on four separate occasions from November 3 through November 10.
Media reports indicate the juvenile is from Rockford, Illinois and was brought to Ste. Genevieve by Coffey.
A tip from the Rockford Police Department led to Coffey’s arrest by Ste. Genevieve Police. Coffey is scheduled for an initial court appearance December 10th.
