Earline June Blessing

A funeral will be held Monday, Dec. 1, 2025 for 98-year-old Earline June Blessing of Perryville who passed away Monday, November 24, 2025, at the home of her daughter in Ste. Genevieve.

June was born April 2, 1927, in Perryville to Theodore and Virgie (Colin) Weibrecht., who both preceded her in death.

She and Chalmer Blessing were married on September 25, 1948. He preceded her in death November 10, 2003.

Survivors include daughters, Ronda (the late Thomas) Rowland, JoAnn Hansen, Norma (the late Roger) Vernon, and Marilyn Klein all of Perryville, Sue Ponder of Oak Ridge, and Jill (Ronnie Jokerst) Roth of Ste. Genevieve; sons, Clete Blessing of Tampa, FL, Carl (Sue) Blessing and Dan (Karen Garcia) Blessing both of St. Charles; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter Lauren Blessing, sons-in-law Thomas Rowland and Roger Vernon, brothers Gilbert, Alvin, and Floyd Weibrecht, and sisters Alma Weibrecht, Clara Moonier, Ruby Welty, Myrtle Bollinger and Rosalie Schneier.

 

June worked at the shoe factory in her early years. Later she worked in the dietary department of Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was a member of Christ the Savior Parish in Brewer.

June cherished her faith and family above all else. She found joy in quilting and was an avid reader, often losing herself in the pages of a good book. With her artistic talents, she excelled as a seamstress and loved gardening, nurturing her plants with the same care she gave to her loved ones. She also enjoyed solving jigsaw puzzles, which provided her with countless hours of fun and relaxation.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2025 and 8-10:15 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2025 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville,

A funeral Mass for 98-year-old will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2025 at Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer with the Rev. Gerald Blessing officiating.

Burial will be at Christ the Savior Catholic Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Journey Hospice.
